About Stonegate Golf Club

Nested amid 3,300 acres of pristine wetlands and woodlands, Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita prides itself on its 100 year old oak hammocks, lush greenery, peaceful waterways and streams. Stonegate Golf Club is a 36-hole combination that provides a challenging variety of shot making opportunities for residents and visitors alike. The Oaks is a Ron Garl-designed 18-hole par-72 course encompassing more than 7,000 yards with multiple tees for players of varied levels. The Cypress is an 18-hole par-72 covering over 6,700 yards designed by Clifton, Ezell and Clifton. It is visually tighter and more challenging that its sister course, the Oaks, and was just awarded by Golf Digest “Best Places To Play.”

Located just 21 miles south of Walt Disney World in Avatar’s award-winning community of Solivita you will find Stonegate Golf Club featuring two award winning 18 hole golf courses. Designer, Ron Garl created The Oaks Course as a course that can be enjoyed by players of all abilities. Big Hitters will enjoy playing from the tips, where the course measures over 7,000 yards, while others will be better suited playing from one of the other three sets of more forgiving tees. With water on eight holes and free-forming collars around the greens, there’s a definite emphasis on the short game. After all, golf’s most famous adage is “drive for show and putt for dough.” Meticulously groomed with rolling, tree-lined fairways, natural vegetation and wetlands, and a habitat to the native wildlife, what’s not to like?

The Cypress Course (redesigned by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton in 2006) has a player-friendly layout with generous fairways flanked by undisturbed century-old cypress trees. Bunkers are large but generally low lipped. Greens are undulating and fast; many of them have been bulk-headed to provide a truly spectacular visual effect.
